USI had organised a book release function “USI Strategic Year Book 2017” on 04 May 2017. The chief guest for the event was the Chief of the Army Staff, Gen Bipin Rawat, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, ADC, .The introductory remarks were given by Lt Gen PK Singh, PVSM, AVSM (Retd) Director, USI. He highlighted the need for having a Strategic Year Book and its significance. Maj Gen BK Sharma, AVSM, SM& BAR (Retd), (Dy Director Research) in his presentation outlined the broad sections of the Year book. He then highlighted the crux of the chapters and the ten major strategic takeaways from the ‘Year Book’. In his address the Chief of the Army Staff, Gen Bipin Rawat, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, ADC complemented the USI for releasing the Strategic Year Book and also highlighted the significance of developing a strategic culture in the nation.
