The first virtual summit of the Quad will be held on 12 March 2021. This follows up on the 3^rd Quad Ministerial Meeting held on 18 February 2021. The Press release of India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) was succinct.[1] The leaders will discuss “practical areas of cooperation towards maintaining a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific Region”. They will also discuss “resilient supply chains, emerging and critical technologies, maritime security, and climate change”, and collaboration in providing vaccines against Covid-19. The White House Press Secretary said that the Covid-19 pandemic, economic cooperation and climate change will be among the three issues to be discussed.
