USI conducted a Round Table Discussion with a seven member Tamkang University, Taipai, Taiwan

The panellists from Tamkang University, Taipei were:

Dr Kao-Cheng Wang, Dean of College of International Studies and Professor of the Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies

Dr Da-Jung Li, Director and Associate Professor of the Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies

Dr Ching-Shan Hu, Professor of the Graduate Institute of Japanese Political and Economic Studies, and Director of the Center for Japanese Studies

Dr Chiu-Ching Kuo, Professor of the Graduate Institute of European Studies

Dr Francisco Luis, Professor of the Graduate Institute of Latin American Studies

Mr Chien-Fu Chen, Associate Professor of the Graduate Institute of China Studies

Dr Juo-Yu Lin, Professor of Department of Diplomacy and International Relations and Director of ASEAN Studies Center

Lt Gen PK Singh, PVSM, AVSM (Retd), Director USI made the introductory remark.

Opening Remarks were made by Prof Srikanth Kondapalli

In the first session, Dr Da-Jung Li discussed on The Indo-Pacific Strategy of USA and China and implications for the Region

In the second session, Mr Chien-Fu Chen spoke on China’s Belt and Road Initiative: Strategic Implications for the Region and future prospects

In the subsequent session, Dr Juo-Yu Lin spoke highlighted The Indo- Pacific Strategy of Taiwan and India: the economic and security challenges and opportunities

In the final session, Dr Francisco Luis discussed the Taiwan-India Cooperation: Roadmap for the future

This was followed by a Question & Answer Session.
