USI hosted a Delegation of Armed Forces War College Course (AFWC) on 05, October 2017 against a backdrop of future challenges and opportunities in Indo- Bangladesh relation.
Inaugural Session
The Opening Remarks were given by Lt Gen PK Singh, PVSM, AVSM (Retd), Director USI. 
Shri Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty, IFS (Retd)
In the first session Shri Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty, IFS (Retd) gave a presentation on Indo- Bangladesh relations; A way Forward, outlining key factors that will strengthen India’s ties with Bangladesh in future. 
Vice Admiral Satish Soni, PVSM, AVSM, NM (Retd)
In the subsequent session Vice Admiral Satish Soni, PVSM, AVSM, NM (Retd) gave a presentation on Maritime Security: Challenges and Cooperation in the Indian Ocean Region, analysing the opportunities, and the challenges India and Bangladesh can face in India Ocean
The Audience
After each session, a discussion was held with the audience actively participating in it. The discussions were enriched with the participation of eminent defence and security experts, members of the academia, and former diplomats.
