USI organised scholar’s presentation by Prof Gautam Sen on the topic “Cyber Security & Cyber Space in International Relations: A Roadmap for India’s Cyber Security Policy” under the Air Marshal Subroto Mukherjee Chair at USI. Welcome remarks were made by Maj Gen BK Sharma, AVSM, SM** (Retd), Deputy Director (Research) and Head of Centre for Strategic Studies and Simulation, USI. The session was chaired by Lt Gen S P Kochar, AVSM**, SM, VSM (Retd). Former Army Chief General Nirmal Chander Vij, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM (Retd) and General Deepak Kapoor, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM (Retd) participated in the event.
In his presentation Prof Sen addressed wide range of Indo-centric approach to issues related to cyber security that have engaged policymakers in a ‘cyber conflicted’ world, including issues such as online extremism, cyber security and encryption. The Q&A session saw many insightful comments and questions.
