Maj Gen Rajiv Narayanan, AVSM, VSM (Retd), Distinguished Fellow, USI gave the welcome remarks. Vice Admiral Satish Soni, PVSM, AVSM, NM (Retd), Distinguished Fellow, USI chaired the session.

In this presentation, he highlighted the account on China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) including a more focused look at the Maritime Silk Road (MSR). He also emphasised the multilateral initiatives taken by countries like Japan, USA, and India. The session was followed by a Q&A session. External discussant Cmde Somen Banerjee, Senior Fellow, VIF gave his expert comments. Maj Gen Rajiv Narayanan, AVSM, VSM (Retd), Distinguished Fellow, USI gave the concluding remarks. The event was attended by various officers from service headquarters and researchers from various think tanks.
