Ahmed Rashid in his article “ISIS and the Promotion of Genocide War” has tried to draw the attention on ISIS’s heinous mass killings of Muslims and non-Muslims in Iraq. Considering this, Is the American decision to drop supplies and target the ISIS through aerial bombing too little too late?, because thousands of Christians and the Yazidis are still trapped in the mountain of northern Iraq. The American people do not want to see another American involvement in Iraq, but with such impending catastrophes they will have to sooner than latter adopt a practical policy.
It is also surprising that the reaction from the other Middle East countries has been rather lukewarm .The activities of these Jihadis are dangerous not only for Iraq, but also for other countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Lebanon. The fact that they had tried to attack the secular Sunni Kurds of North Iraq, implies that their main aim is to create the caliphate and in the bargain control the oil .If the Kurds are defeated then the ramifications would be grave for Turkey, Iran and Pakistan ,and the entire west Asia will be embroiled in it.
